Indications: Hormone replacement therapy for the treatment of climacteric complaints at menopause or following ovariectomy. Prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
Dosage: Apply to the skin on the trunk or buttock once wkly.
Adverse Drug Reactions: Migraine, severe headaches, vision or hearing disturbances, phlebitis. Skin irritation at the site of application; breakthrough bleeding & spotting, breast tenderness, enlargement, increased size of fibroids of the womb. GI disturbances, cholestatic jaundice. Chloasma. Alteration in body wt, worsening of porphyria, edema, changes in libido, muscle cramps. |
